Welcome to the Montpelier Meadow Neighborhood Email List

Hello Neighbors! This website provides basic information on a neighborhood email list for residents of Montpelier's Meadow neighborhood. Our neighborhood email list was established in May 2008. We currently have around 125 households on the list, as of 2022! The list was started before Front Porch Forum came to Montpelier.  At the time, the idea was that when FPF got here, we wouldn't need the list.  However sometimes it is nice to reach just the neighborhood.  And so, the list continues.  How to sign up for the email list: Send an email message to montpelier.meadow@gmail.com with your full name and address, and we will add you to the list! What this list is for: Neighborly items like - announcing picnics, selling items or giving away free stuff, doing a joint big-stuff dump run, advertising apartments, coordinating yard sales, sharing tools, etc. What it's not for: Please no jokes or topics beyond the neighborhood. Politics and local business ads are acceptable in moderation: please see the ground rules posted below. How to use it: Only members of the list may post by sending email to montpelier_meadow@googlegroups.com Participants are asked to sign messages with your full name and street address. You can post directly to the list, you don't need to go through the subscriptions manager. How not to use it: The email list is not meant to replace normal, friendly, in-person conversations and connections. Our neighborhood is still a real and tangible place, not just a cyberspace.
